The use of people using medicinal mushrooms dates way back to Chinese cultures and ancient Egypt and they used them for longevity. There is a difference between the regular salad mushrooms you eat regularly and what to is referred to as "medicinal" mushrooms. The thing about medicinal mushrooms is they contain immune activating beta glucans and also polysaccharides. These polysaccharides are contained within the mushroom indigestible cell wall. Why the polysaccharides are important is because they are complex carbohydrate polymers and are stored in muscles and liver and then converted to energy for your body. They come in the form of dextrans, starch and glycogen. These important substances that make mushrooms so medicinal is the polysaccharides are naturally occuring and derived in yeast, the bran of grain and in these mushrooms for sale.

DON'T BUY THE CHEAPER MUSHROOMS ONLINE
It is a good idea for all our customers to compare our quality before deciding whether ours is a good value for the money. There are many subjective factors that make the difference between high quality and poorer quality dried mushrooms, such as the amount of broken material, chips, and dust present in the product, color and discoloration of product, insect damage to wild mushrooms (it is normal with some varieties of wild-harvested mushrooms to see some insect damage that occurred while the mushroom was still alive, but it should be quite limited), amount of tough and inedible stem present on certain mushrooms (especially Shiitake), and other factors as well. This is where our experience comes into play and keeping a close watch on all these mushroom factors.
*We only sell the highest quality mushrooms
