Another great smoking wood is pecan wood. It keeps your meat tender and really brings out the natural flavors of your cooking foods. It doesn't over power with too much flavor but sweetens it just right. Some other option is using smoking wood pellets that we have in like apple wood for sale, hickory wood pellets, alder wood pellets, wine soaked oak wood pellets. Currently we have in lemon wood chips that is especially nice for chicken. Another smoking wood pellet that is great for chicken is pecan and another fruit wood like apple wood for sale.

Hi John,

The hickory wood will bring some of the old fashioned smoke flavor. It doesn’t grow in New Jersey, so it will be a unique taste for bbq ribs and more. I often mix it with pecan wood so it will combine together for tender meat. Some people use 100% hickory when smoking meat and some like to add a lighter firewood to bring a nice combination. Thank John and let us know if you have any other questions!
