Walnut smoking wood - Walnut is one of my favorite smoking wood options because it is similar to Hickory wood but it doesn't dry out your meat like hickory wood often can. That doesn't mean that hickory wood for sale will always dry out your meat, but it sure has the capabilities to. Hickory wood is known as the king of the smoking woods and I would say that walnut is its equal. If you are using walnut wood in the winter fireplace, it also doesn't leave any soot reside. In the BBQ smoker, walnut smoking wood for sale is a relatively hot burning wood that provides a sweet nut smell and is great for flavoring all your favorite meats. I have used a smoking wood recipe of Walnut wood with pecan wood and have had wonderful results. So, if you are looking for a different type of smoking wood for sale, consider walnut cause it is a wonderful choice.

Pecan smoking wood - Pecan smoking wood for sale is a popular choice here in the midwest where we have a abundance of pecan orchards and groves. It is a all around choice for a smoking wood. So, if you are grilling vegetables, smoking meats and even grilling and smoking fruit, pecan smoking wood for sale is a really good choice. Pecan is also a really good firewood for sale if you combine it with another smoking wood. Oak is a good option and is a popular smoking wood recipe. If you are smoking BBQ pork ribs, the combination of pecan and hickory is a popular choice.  Whichever smoking wood for sale you choose to combine with pecan will be a great combination for your cooking.

Hickory smoking wood - Hickory wood is a national favorite when it comes to smoking wood for sale . It is a hardwood that is in the nut firewood category and it a long burning hot smoking wood. It is known in the barbecue industry as one of the prime choices for BBQ pork ribs. If it is combined with pecan smoking wood it has the ability to flavor the meat and help the meat fall off the bone. The pecan smoking wood for sale is what helps the meat fall off the bone and the hickory is what gives it that nice flavor. Hickory is known as the king of the smoking wood for sale firewoods and is great in the bbq smoker. Hickory is also nice in the winter fireplace because it will burn hot and long. The customers we have had that chose hickory firewood for their winter fireplace firewood really loved it because it was a better option than oak firewood for sale. Hickory has a very strong aroma but not as strong as mesquite. It is often good for your cooking to combine the hickory with another smoking wood for sale. Some other options are walnut which will give a deep flavoring and another option is Apricot smoking wood. Apricot is also another long burning smoking wood for sale and combined with hickory wood it gives you the best of both worlds: a fruit smoking wood and a nut smoking wood.

Oak smoking wood - Oak smoking wood for sale is known as the Queen of the Smoking Woods. It is often not the first choice when it comes to smoking wood but is does well when it is combined with another smoking wood for sale. A popular smoking wood recipe is to combine Oak with Pecan smoking wood.  Oak is known to be a great coal base in the bottom of your firebox and the pecan does well with the flavoring of your cooked and smoked meats. Another good smoking wood for sale combination is to use Hickory wood with your Oak smoking wood. Again Oak smoking wood is a long burner and works well if you will be smoking meats for 10+ hours. The hickory is then used as a great flavoring and hickory knows well how to do that. There are various other smoking wood for sale combinations like Apricot, and walnut is another good smoking choice. IF you use Walnut and Oak combined together, you will get the benefit of walnut as the flavoring and walnut is not going to dry out your smoked meats, seafood, pork and chicken. Walnut is a sweet smoking nut smoking wood for sale.

Fish -  There are various option when it comes to grilling fish and smoking fish. Since we are a long distance from Alaska, finding actual Alder smoking wood for sale is not an option in the Midwest. Alder smoking wood chips and pellets do become a very good option. The nice thing about smoking wood pellets are they are a long burning pellets of alder sawdust and they are 100% with no fillers. For a great smoking wood for sale for fish in this part of the country, Pecan smoking wood is the best option. You don't want to use a smoking wood that is too overbearing!  This is why pecan smoking wood becomes a great choice because it is light and delicate smoke to your fish. Some of the popular fish to use are salmon and chefs often choose to use cedar wood planks. Cedar wood planks can bring out the flavor in your fish and the salmon is laid right on the cedar wood. Another popular fish we enjoy grilling at the wood shop is Cod.

When finding a good smoking wood for sale on your bbq ribs, I like to start off with Pecan smoking wood. It’s a pus if you can combine that with another smoking wood for sale. Often using a second smoking wood can bring out the smoking qualities of two smoking woods instead of just one. For the bbq pork ribs, Pecan and Hickory is good but Pecan and Walnut may be a little better. There are some other choices like Persimmon wood which is a very popular choice. Beef is another type of smoke. I wouldn’t use hickory but something a little lighter like apricot or pecan. You don’t want the beef ribs to come out too overcooked so don’t leave them on the smoker too long. You will definitely want to use your meat thermometer on any and all beef that is smoked. For a smoking wood for sale on your fish, I like pecan or alder pellets. Since you are in the Widbey Island area which is off the coast of Seattle, you may be able to find some full length alder smoking wood. If that is the case, the alder full length smoking wood would be the best choice for your fish. I hope this helps, Ryan! Good questions.
