Pinion wood is a hot burning pine wood that burns hot. It does burn hotter and longer burn than Ponderosa Pine which is famous in Colorado. Pinion wood has the BTU content of 27.1 and makes it a great heating source. Most of our customers are looking for one wood that has a variety of applications and can be used year round. Pinion wood is the choice firewood for sale!

We have some other firewood for sale options like our Oklahoma Oak firewood. It is a long and hot burning firewood that works well in your winter fireplace. It has been seasoned over a year so it is ready to burn now. If you'd like a unique smell while burning our Cross Timbers Walnut wood is great and is a good firewood to also throw in your BBQ smoker. Our Oak firewood for sale can be used as a base wood in your smoker but the Walnut wood can also serve the same option.

When you are starting your fire in your firebox please never use gasoline. Also refrain from using charcoal lighter fluid because these two items will soak into your smoking wood and eventually your meats. The best is to use kindling and lighting paper if needed.

The Oklahoma Oak firewood you sent me worked out great. Do you suggest using a fruit firewood with the Oak ever? Thanks again

Tom,

We prefer seasoned pinion wood because it will be easier to light. Although green wood may burn long, it can be really tough to light and that makes it a inconvenience. If you’d like some pinion firewood that is a bit green, let us know and we can ship it to you. Thanks for you question!
